Professional Headshot photographY
In today’s digital world, professional headshots are more important than ever. If you’re in business, your profile picture on your website or social media sites such as LinkedIn and Twitter, is often the first point of contact for key influencers in your career. If you’re an actor, your headshot is critical to getting you in front of agents and casting directors, and helping you stand out on talent directories such as Spotlight.
Whatever your profession, if your headshot serves one purpose only, it should be to make a great first impression. As a portrait photographer, it’s my job to make sure that first impression is one that is both right for the audience that you need to appeal to and which makes others want to find out more about you.
I work predominantly with the creative industries and the business community, both at my relaxed and informal seafront studio in Brighton and on location throughout the UK. I work collaboratively with all my clients, be they individuals or large teams, to create distinctive imagery that helps them stand out from the crowd. Whatever your portrait photography requirements, please feel free to contact me anytime for an exploratory chat.

If you’re visiting this site, chances are you’re looking for a professional headshot for yourself, or are commissioning a photo session for your team.
But you’re probably also in two minds; just about everyone I’ve ever photographed, from experienced actors, to senior executives, to someone just starting out in their career, hates the idea of having their portrait taken - just the act of standing in front of a camera seems to somehow magically eradicate their ability to simply be themselves.
And authenticity is the key to a good headshot - rather than trying to create the person you’d like to be, we should be aiming to capture the best version of who you really are.
As a portrait photographer, It’s my job to make your session as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, so that we create a set of images together that make others want to engage with you, and which capture the ‘real you’. The greatest compliment I can receive when I’m reviewing images with my clients after a session is ‘that’s me’!
Or as one of my clients very kindly put it:
