Headshots for Business

Corporate Headshots | Social Media | Personal Branding

A high quality, professional headshot is an investment in your personal brand. These days the vast majority of us have a digital identity on social media and business platforms such as Linkedin, and your profile picture is often the first impression you will make with key influencers in your career, from employers, headhunters and recruitment agencies to prospective clients and business collaborators; it sets the tone for what you are trying to convey professionally and, rightly or wrongly, can drive snap judgements about your personality and professional integrity.

Headshots are also increasingly recognised as an essential component of a company's brand image, especially in service industries; 'people buy people' is a powerful truism, and the style of photography you use to portray yourself and your staff has strong implications to the extent to which people are likely to identify with your brand and engage with your services, and should support your brand image across different media channels, from your website through to company reports, brochures and press.

I'll work closely with you to identify the style of portrait that's going to be most appropriate to your personal or corporate brand image, taking into account where and how broadly it is likely to appear across different media. And whether I'm dealing with individual sitters in the studio or large teams on location at my clients' offices, I'll always make the time to coach each person in the simple styling and posing techniques that help communicate confidence, professionalism and approachability - the watchwords for a good business portrait - whilst also allowing helping their real personalities to shine through.

Mobile studio

The mobile studio set-up creates a professional shooting environment at your offices, and can quickly and easily be set up even in offices with limited space.

I'll also work closely with your team in advance of the shoot to ensure the minimum possible disruption to your normal working environment, whilst also creating output of the highest possible quality.

Personal Coaching

CC-21.jpg

The idea of having their portrait taken sends cold shivers down most people's spines - it's usually the first thing they mention when they step in front of the camera!

Whether I'm shooting an individual or an entire company, I'll take the time to teach every sitter some simple techniques to ensure everyone walks away with a selection of headshots they're happy with.

Candid Portraits

22.jpg

In addition to studio-style headshots, I'm often asked to take behind the scenes portraits that help our clients communicate their company culture.

To ensure that this is done in the most time-efficient way, I'll prepare a detailed shooting schedule and a brief for all staff being shot to ensure that they are fully prepared and know what to expect.

Headshots for Actors

Brighton Studio | Natural Light | Mobile Studio

Headshots for Actors | Singers | Dancers | Presenters

Whatever your creative field, whether you are a seasoned artist or a complete newcomer, and no matter how talented you are, your headshot is absolutely vital in terms of getting yourself noticed; it's the first thing that people see when they look at your profile in talent directories such as Spotlight, Mandy or Starnow, and it's the most important tool your agent has to get you auditions for castings.

But it's not the 'creativity' of the photography that's going to help you stand out from the crowd; good lighting, composition and styling are clearly all important, but a great headshot, first and foremost, is one that's a true reflection of who you are as a person. Of course, for actors especially, it's helpful to have images in your portfolio that represent your range of character types for different types of castings, but Casting Directors also want to get a sense of the 'real you' as well as the characters you can play and your technical skills.

Getting a great headshot is a collaborative process, and during our time together we'll work together to create a set of images that not only show who you are, but who you are at your very best! With a combination of your creativity and my direction, we'll explore a range of poses and expressions, with multiple outfit and backdrop changes, until we build a selection of shots that we both agree are a truly distinctive and compelling representation of who you are.

Client Testimonials

As a live performer I am no stranger to being in front of the camera, but I didn’t fully understand the difference between being vaguely aware of someone taking action shots and the up close and personal experience of taking headshots. I made my fears very clear to David at the very beginning of the shoot and he, sensing my concerns, made me feel extremely comfortable. From making me laugh, to playing The Blues, my experience with Shoot Me now was unforgettable. As for the pictures: WOW! Thank you David.
— Sharon Rose, Musical Theatre Artist
I’m usually very anxious about having my photo taken, but David made me feel completely at ease, consulting me throughout the process so that we could get the best portrait possible. The result was not just a couple of choices, but many high-quality options for my publicity and book jacket. Thank you David!
— Rebecca J. Whitney, Author
I had the pleasure of being shot by David and I’m very happy with my experience. David does a great job of making you feel at ease when shooting, while giving you clear instruction on how to best connect with the camera. If you’re interested in great quality headshots, that are returned to you looking amazing straight after the shoot, then get in contact with David.
— Matthew Campbell, Actor
I had such a good shoot with David recently. I felt comfortable as soon as I walked through the door, and the shoot itself was fun and relaxed. We shot so many different styles of headshots and I am really happy with the ones I have chosen. From the studio in his house to the outside options, he really knows his stuff, and takes the time to make the lighting absolutely perfect to suit the client. Highly recommend to anybody looking to get some new shots done!
— Andy Rose, Actor
From the moment I entered the studio, David put me at ease, making the shoot greatly relaxing. It was a real pleasure working with a photographer with so much enthusiasm and drive. By the end of the shoot, David had managed to capture such a variety of moods, it was very difficult to choose my favourites! I would highly recommend David and wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again in the future. Thank you!
— Mia Longman, Actress
From the moment I set foot in David Green’s studio I felt 100% at ease. His calm and friendly approach allows the client to portray the best versions of themselves for the camera.

I am absolutely thrilled with the range and variety of styles we managed to shoot in the time allocated and it was hard to decide which photos I liked the most from the proofs he sent because the were all so wonderful. I highly recommend Shoot Me Now’s high quality photography service.
— Dale Adams, Actor
David Is a man in demand! Spent an afternoon session with him for my portfolio / Spotlight headshots and he was exemplary. He made what can often be a tedious/nerve wracking/stale affair into an upbeat, encouraging and enlightening experience. He played with the various technical elements, really trying to see what would make my look work best.

We chatted and he kept me at ease in his home studio (which is delightfully presented and comfortable with an insane view of the seafront) and I felt like he was doing his best to ensure that he would get the best work. We’re in the final stages of editing the final shots and I’ve enjoyed the experience wholeheartedly. I will most certainly be returning!
— Adam Hoskins, Musical Theatre Artist
From the moment I arrived at the shoot I was made to feel relaxed and welcomed. David ensured that we both knew what was wanted from the shoot. I felt I was able to express exactly what I wanted, which has resulted in pictures that I am extremely happy with. I was constantly shown the pictures so I knew what was going on and I feel this creates a brilliant end product as people on both sides of the camera are on the same page. I would not hesitate to recommend Shoot Me Now to anyone I know for either professional or personal shots. The only issue was the pictures were so good it was incredibly difficult to chose which ones I wanted! A thoroughly enjoyable experience with a fantastic end product.
— Beth Symons, Actress
Much as I love filming, I don’t enjoy being photographed so wasn’t looking forward to my head-shot session. From the moment David opened the door, I relaxed and within a short time I knew that he ‘got’ who I was and how best to capture me. The session was really enjoyable and I was included in the process throughout so I could also judge what worked best. It was such a positive experience and I’m very happy with the results.
— Pat Garrett, Actress

Conference & Event Photography

Mobile studio | On Location

The featured video is behind the scenes coverage of the Shoot Me Now mobile studio at the Let's Do Business Expo at the AMEX stadium in Brighton. The Shoot Me Now team worked alongside The Brighton & Hove Chambers of Commerce, averaging one headshot every 10 minutes all day, creating a hive of activity around and interest in the stand throughout the day.

The mobile studio typically adds value to company events in distinct ways, depending on whether they are internally or externally focussed:

Internal

The mobile studio is ideal for events such as AGMs and Corporate sales conferences where large numbers of employees are gathered together, providing a cost-effective and logistically convenient way of shooting studio quality company headshots in a consistent style, and in high volumes (up to 100 staff in one day).

External

Headshot booths are also a fantastic way of adding some energy and driving engagement at various other types of events and conferences.

When clients commission me to incorporate the mobile studio into their own stands at exhibitions and trade shows, they are creating a real point of difference from other exhibitors, as well as delivering tangible value to visitors to their stands in the form of a new and professionally executed headshot.

Key benefits:

  • Consistent branding - white labelling on request for added brand impact

  • Instant data - participants happily give their details in return for a headshot

Agency Services & Resources

Group Headshot Sessions

As well as providing individual headshot sessions in the studio or on location, I also work with local talent and management agencies to offer highly affordable packages to their clients - often those still in training, or just starting out in their careers - who may struggle to find the funds for a full session.

I'm able to do this by making block bookings of shorter sessions - usually over the course of one day - either in my studio or using the mobile studio at a location that's easy for everyone attending to get to.

I'll work with individual agents to work out the style of headshot that's most likely to work well across a range of their clients, so that we can schedule consecutive sittings using the same backdrop and lighting set-up. This doesn't mean that the shots need to feel dull and uniform - as well as using classic, clean black and white backdrops that focus attention on the different sitters' expressions and personalities, I often work with vibrant colours that really make the headshots pop and stand out from the competition.

Client Testimonials

Our agency has been recommending Shoot Me Now for several years. David’s pictures truly capture the personality of each performer and his use of colour makes the photos pop off the page. His easy manner and bespoke service mean that everyone gets the images that work best. David’s price structure represents great value for money and the headshots really do get our clients seen for jobs.
— Sarah Dormady, Agency Owner, Goldmans Management
As a Casting Director, many a time have I sat behind a desk with an artist’s headshot in hand and an almost entirely different person walks into audition! Very frustrating. With Shoot Me Now, David creates photographs that show his clients’ personalities and character and, importantly, are an accurate representation of them! More than happy to recommend
— Graham Fawcett, Founder & Owner, H2 Productions
I cannot recommend David highly enough. He made me and my 4 year old daughter feel completely at ease at our photo shoots. He showed such patience and enthusiasm I could have stayed there all day. The results were very impressive and delivered very quickly. As an actor and an agent I will be recommending him to clients and colleagues alike!
— Rachel Cullen, Founder & Owner, IAL Kids

Guy also founded and manages a great Facebook Group for the Performing Arts Community throughout Sussex featuring casting opportunities, services for actors, news from the area and much more.
